Pochinkovsky District (Russian: Починковский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Smolensk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southern central part of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,380.75 square kilometers (919.21 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Pochinok. Population: 30,959 (2010 Census);37,537 (2002 Census);44,162 (1989 Census). The population of Pochinok accounts for 28.3% of the district's total population.
