Pike is a town in Wyoming County, New York. The population was 1,114 at the 2010 census.
The Town of Pike is on the south border of the county. Pike is also the name of a hamlet in this town.
The Town of Pike was founded in 1818 from a division of the Town of Nunda (now part of Livingston County, New York). In 1823, part of Pike was taken to form the new Town of Eagle. More of Pike was taken to form part of the Town of Genesee Falls in 1846.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 31.2 square miles (80.8 km²), of which 31.1 square miles (80.5 km²) is land and 0.1 square mile (0.3 km²) (0.42%) is water.
The south town line is the border of Allegany County.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,086 people, 382 households, and 283 families residing in the town. The population density was 34.9 people per square mile (13.5/km²). There were 444 housing units at an average density of 14.3 per square mile (5.5/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 96.78% White, 0.28% Black or African American, 1.29% Native American, 0.28% Asian, 0.09% from other races, and 1.29% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.55% of the population.
