Petr Ilich Vorobiev (Russian: Пётр И́льич Воробьё́в; Latvian: Pjotrs Vorobjovs) (born 28 January 1949) is a former ice hockey player who is better known as the head coach of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the Kontinental Hockey League.

Vorobiev played his whole career in the Soviet Championship League for Dinamo Riga (1968–79).

Vorobiev was an assistant coach for Dinamo Riga from 1982 till 1989, but on 1989-90 season he got hired as a head coach. From 1990 till 1992 he was an assistant coach for Dynamo Moscow but in the 1992-93 season he got hired as a head coach. After that he was hired as a head coach for Frankfurt Lions, Torpedo Yaroslavl, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl and Lada Togliatti. In 2006 Vorobiev was invited as a head coach for Latvian national ice hockey team. After that he returned at Russian Superleague for the last two seasons to coach Khimik Mytischy and Torpedo Nizhny-Novgorod. When KHL debuted he managed to reach 1/8 final with Lada Togliatti. On 08.02.2010 he resigned from coaching Lada to return to Yaroslavl for coaching Lokomotiv Yaroslavl once again. At the end of the year he got hired to coach junior team Loko, which takes participation in MHL. Vorobiev is currently in his second stint coaching Lokomotiv in the KHL, replacing Brad McCrimmon as head coach after he and the entire team was killed in a plane crash on September 7, 2011.
