Pavinsky District (Russian: Па́винский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kostroma Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,600 square kilometers (620 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Pavino. Population: 5,102 (2010 Census); 6,217 (2002 Census);7,933 (1989 Census). The population of Pavino accounts for 55.3% of the district's total population.
