Ousala Aleem (born July 3, 1982), also known as Prestley Snipes and FD, is a Platinum selling and Grammy Award Nominated songwriter, filmmaker, director, producer, entertainment manager, photographer and entrepreneur. As a filmmaker and director for over 15 years, Ousala has worked with some of music's top artists and has 4 RIAA certified gold and platinum plaques to his credit. Ousala is best known for his independent film Criminals Gone Wild and for introducing ILoveMakonnen to the music scene.
Aleem was born in Brooklyn, New York. He started in the entertainment business through his uncles Taharqa Aleem and Tunde Ra Aleem, who have worked with Jimi Hendrix, New Kids On The Block, and Wu Tang Clan. In 2004, Ousala attended Brooklyn Public Network in Brooklyn, New York and released a public access show called FDTV. In 2005, Ousala released his first independent film titled "FDTV: Volume One". In 2007, Ousala released his second independent film titled Criminals Gone Wild.
Ousala appeared on The O'Reilly Factor on December 12, 2007 in response to his film Criminals Gone Wild. Ousala was also featured on several CNN segments regarding Criminals Gone Wild in 2007. In 2014, while managing the career of ILoveMakonnen, Ousala was featured in a Billboard video segment called My City: Atlanta | The Juice. Ousala was also featured in HBO series Vice (magazine)'s Noisey music documentary titled "Noisey Atlanta - The Psychedelic and Bizarre World of iLoveMakonnen".
