Oscar Ljungström (1868–1943) was a Swedish engineer, officer, archivist, and author.

Oscar Ljungström was born in 1868 to the cartographer Jonas Patrik Ljungström (1827–1898). Among his siblings were Fredrik Ljungström, and Birger Ljungström.

Oscar Ljungstrom served as an archivist in the urban engineering office of .

With a background as an officer in the Landstormen of the Swedish Army, he joined the White forces in Finland in 22 February 1918 at the outbreak of the Finnish Civil War. He served as a platoon commander during the war, which the Whites eventually won against the Reds and the Soviet Union.

Of a family background partly of Protestant reformers, Ljungström also wrote on matters of religious philosophy. Although an outspoken critic of esoterism, he advocated an eclectic ethical approach as opposed to both the state religion and secularism of his time, sparking debate on synchretism, and how Christianity could benefit from Eastern philosophy. After retirement, he resided with the Theosophical Society in Lomaland in California, United States.
