Olney is a city in Young County, Texas, United States. The population was 3,285 in 2010.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.0 square miles (5.2 km²), all of it land. The Town Is 45 Miles From Wichita Falls

As of the census of 2000, there were 3,396 people, 1,405 households, and 896 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,654.8 people per square mile (639.6/km²). There were 1,668 housing units at an average density of 812.8/sq mi (314.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 89.78% White, 2.47% African American, 0.80% Native American, 0.12% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 4.59% from other races, and 2.21% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 14.43% of the population.
