Odin is a village in Marion County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,122 at the 2000 census. The village was named after Odin, a god in Germanic mythology.
Odin is located at 38°37.0′N 89°3.2′W / 38.6167°N 89.0533°W (38.6164, -89.0540).
According to the 2010 census, Odin has a total area of 1 square mile (2.59 km2), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,122 people, 440 households, and 293 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,110.8 people per square mile (428.9/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.48% White, 0.62% African American, 0.09% Native American, 0.09% Asian, 0.09% Pacific Islander, 0.09% from other races, and 0.53% from two or more races.
