Novoselytsia (Ukrainian: Новоселиця, Ukrainian pronunciation: [nɔwɔˈsɛɫɪt͡sʲɑ]; Romanian: Noua Suliță pronounced [ˈnowa ˈsulit͡sə]) is a city in Chernivtsi Oblast (province) of Ukraine. It stands at the northern tip of Bessarabia region, on its border with Bukovina, and serves as the administrative center of Novoselytsia Raion. Population: 7,642 (2015 est.)
From 1774 to 1877, Novoselytsia was at the tripoint between the Austrian (Duchy of Bukovina), Ottoman (Danubian Principalities) and Russian (Bessarabia Governorate) empires.
