North Vernon is a city in Jennings County, Indiana, United States. The population was 6,728 at the 2010 census.
North Vernon was originally called Tripton, and under the latter name was platted in 1854.
Annadale, North Vernon Downtown Historic District, State Street Historic District, and Walnut Street Historic District are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
