Nigel Stephenson (born 12 October 1950 in Dewsbury) is an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, and coach of the 1980s, and 1990s, playing at representative level for England, and Yorkshire, and at club level for Shaw Cross Sharks ARLFC [1][2], Dewsbury (twice), Bradford Northern, Carlisle, Wakefield Trinity (captain) (Heritage № 906), and York, as a Centre, i.e. number 3 or 4, and at club level has coached for Huddersfield.

Nigel Stephenson played Centre, i.e. number 3 in England's 0-25 defeat by Australia in the 1975 Rugby League World Cup Final at Headingley Rugby Stadium, Leeds on Wednesday 12 November 1975.

Nigel Stephenson was selected for Yorkshire County XIII on ten occasions.
