Natasha Negovanlis (born April 3, 1990) is a Canadian actress, singer, writer, and YouTube host. She is best known for playing the title role in the popular LGBTQ web series Carmilla.
Before acting professionally, Negovanlis studied at a high school for the performing arts in Toronto, and majored in voice performance at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University. She was cast in her first professional musical in Winter 2011. In 2014, she booked the role of Carmilla and in 2015 she co-starred in the feature film Almost Adults.
In 2014, Negovanlis was cast as the title role in the Canadian web series Carmilla. In the series, which is based on the 1871 gothic novella of the same name, Negovanlis portrays the vampire Carmilla, who appears after her roommate's previous roommate vanishes. The series premiered on the Vervegirl YouTube (rebranded as 'KindaTV' as of February 2016) channel on August 19, 2014.
Negovanlis has since accumulated more than 200,000 combined followers on her Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram.
