Muhammad Rafiq Tarar (Listeni//;English IPA:rəfɪ̈kʰ ʔɑr(ə)ɹ (Urdu: محمد رفیق تارڑ‎; b. 2 November 1929), is a retired senior justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan who served as the ninth President of Pakistan from 20 January 1998 until resigning the office on 20 June 2001.

Tarar was forced to step down and resigned from the presidency by then-Chief Executive Pervez Musharraf after issuing the executive decree in 2001. He was ultimately succeeded by Musharraf through a referendum held in 2002.
