Monon is a town in Monon Township, White County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 1,777 at the 2010 census.

Monon is located on U.S. Route 421, about 30 miles (48 km) north of Lafayette. According to the 2010 census, Monon has a total area of 0.56 square miles (1.45 km2), all land.

As of the census of 2010, there were 1,777 people, 600 households, and 420 families residing in the town. The population density was 3,173.2 inhabitants per square mile (1,225.2/km2). There were 682 housing units at an average density of 1,217.9 per square mile (470.2/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 77.2% White, 0.6% African American, 0.4% Native American, 0.2% Asian, 18.9% from other races, and 2.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 28.4% of the population (14.0% Salvadoran, 11.4% Mexican, 0.4% Honduran).

There were 600 households of which 43.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.5% were married couples living together, 12.0% had a female householder with no husband present, 8.5% had a male householder with no wife present, and 30.0% were non-families. 25.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.96 and the average family size was 3.47.
