Mirik subdivision is a subdivision of the Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal, India. It was declared a subdivision on 30 March 2017. It consists of the Mirik municipality and one community development block: Mirik. The subdivision has its headquarters at Mirik.
Apart from Mirik municipality that consists of 9 wards, the subdivision contains rural areas of 6 gram panchayats under one community development block: Mirik. The total area of Mirik subdivision is 125.89 km2 (48.61 sq mi), with Mirik municipality having an area of 6.50 km2 (2.51 sq mi) and Mirik block an area of 119.39 km2 (46.10 sq mi).
Mirik block consists of rural areas with 6 gram panchayats, viz. Chenga Panighata, Paheligaon School Dara-I, Paheligaon School Dara-II, Soureni-I, Soureni-II and Duptin.
This block has one police station at Mirik.
Headquarters of this block is in Mirik.
As per order of the Delimitation Commission in respect of the delimitation of constituencies in West Bengal, the whole area under this subdivision, viz. Mirik block and Mirik municipality/notified area is part of the Kurseong assembly constituency of West Bengal. This constituency is an assembly segment of Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency.
As per the 2011 Census of India, Mirik municipality/notified area had a population of 11,513. There were 5688 males and 5825 females. As per the 2011 Census of India, Mirik block had a total population of 46,374. There were 23,394 males and 22,980 females.
