The Mexican Indian Wars refer to a series of conflicts fought between Spanish, and later Mexican, forces against Amerindians in what is now called Mexico. The period begins with Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire in 1519 and continued until the end of the Caste War of Yucatán in 1933.
