Menzelinsky District (Russian: Мензели́нский райо́н; Tatar: Минзәлә районы) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-three in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the republic. The area of the district is 1,923.4 square kilometers (742.6 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Menzelinsk. Population: 29,359 (2010 Census); 31,295 (2002 Census);30,517 (1989 Census). The population of Menzelinsk accounts for 56.1% of the district's total population.
