Malpensa Aeroporto Terminal 1 railway station, or Malpensa Airport T1 railway station, is located in Terminal 1 of Milan–Malpensa Airport (IATA code: MXP) in Ferno, Varese, near Milan. Opened in 1999, the station is the western terminus of the Busto Arsizio–Malpensa Airport railway, and is managed by Ferrovienord.
All train services to Milan are operated by Trenord (Busto Arsizio-Saronno-Milano way). Other train services to Switzerland (Busto Arsizio-Gallarate-Laveno-Luino-Bellinzona way) are operated by TiLo.
In 2014 a contract was awarded for extension of the railway line from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 airport (and a new railway station about, Malpensa Airport T2 railway station), with it expected to open in December 2016.
The Malpensa Express is a train service operated by Trenord. It links Malpensa Airport with Milano Centrale railway station or alternately Milano Cadorna railway station in about 40 minutes, and runs every 30 minutes in each direction from early morning until late evening.
