Chioninia fogoensis (English: Fogo skink) is a species of skink in to the Scincidae family. It is endemic to the Cape Verde Islands it is founded mainly in the island of Fogo. The species were named by Arthur William Edgar O'Shaughnessy in 1874.

The species named is named after the island that it was first discovered Fogo and the Latin sufix -ensis which means -an of which it inhabits. They are also founded in some other islands including São Nicolau in the areas of Monte Gordo and Monte Bissau.

Its synonym are Mabuya fogoensis (Fogo mabuya) and Euprepes fogoensis. Both were named by William Edgar O'Shaugnessy in 1874
