The Lubbock Metropolitan Statistical Area is a metropolitan area in the South Plains region of Texas, United States, that covers three counties - Crosby, Lubbock, and Lynn. As of the 2010 census, the MSA had a population of 290,805 (though a July 1, 2015 estimate placed the population at 311,154). It is also part of the larger Lubbock-Levelland Combined Statistical Area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 249,700 people, 95,028 households, and 62,001 families residing within the MSA. The racial makeup of the MSA was 74.00% White, 7.56% African American, 0.58% Native American, 1.27% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 14.59% from other races, and 1.96% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 28.06% of the population.

The median income for a household in the MSA was $28,984 and the median income for a family was $35,479. Males had a median income of $26,868 versus $19,410 for females. The per capita income for the MSA was $15,884.
