Loureedia is a genus of araneomorph spiders in the family Eresidae, containing a single species, Loureedia annulipes, found in the Mediterranean (Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt and Israel).
Being a velvet spider that lives underground, the genus was named after musician Lou Reed, lead singer of the group Velvet Underground. L. annulipes was formerly considered a member of Eresus.
