South Korean boy band Big Bang have embarked on fifteen headlining concert tours, two of which have been worldwide, and five others that were in Japan. The group made their headlining debut in December 2006 through their 1st Live Concert "The R.E.A.L". Throughout their careers, they have held concerts both as a group and as solo artists. In 2008, they went on their first Asian tour, visiting South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia. In 2009 and 2010, the band went on multiple tours, gathering around 150,000 fans from South Korea and Japan. In 2011, after a two-year hiatus, the group released their EP Tonight, and planned to support the album with a world tour. However, multiple members encountered legal issues and the tour was cancelled. They toured Japan and South Korea, with a total of 140,000 fans from 11 shows.
In 2012, the group embarked on their first world tour, in support of their album Alive, and a total of 800,000 fans worldwide attended the tour from 42 shows. In 2013 and 2014, the members focused on their solo careers, with G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung going on solo tours. Meanwhile, the group went on two Japanese dome tours, attracting 1.5 million fans to their shows. In 2015, the group released a series of singles from their third Korean studio album Made, and embarked on their second world tour. The tour broke multiple records, and became the most attended K-Pop tour in history, gathering 1.5 million fans worldwide from 33 cities. In 2016, the group held a series of fan meetings in Japan and Mainland China with Fantastic Babys and the Made V.I.P Tour. The same year, Big Bang celebrated their 10th anniversary, embarking on the 0.TO.10 special anniversary tour holding 24 shows in seven cities across Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong, which attracted more than 1.1 million fans. The tour broke the band's own record by being the first foreign act to hold a Japanese "dome tour" for four consecutive years. Throughout their career, the band as a group and as solo artists, have performed to over 8 million people worldwide.
