Limansky District (Russian: Лиманский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the eleven in Astrakhan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 5,283 square kilometers (2,040 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Liman. Population: 31,952 (2010 Census); 34,341 (2002 Census);35,151 (1989 Census). The population of Liman accounts for 28.2% of the district's total population.
