"Le grand soir" ("The big night") was the Belgian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, performed in French by Nuno Resende.
The song was performed in the semi-final, as Belgium had not finished in the top 10 in the 2004 Contest. On the night, it was performed eleventh, following Iceland's Selma with "If I Had Your Love" and preceding Estonia's Suntribe with "Let's Get Loud". At the close of voting, it had only received 29 points, placing 22nd in the 25-song field and not making the final - additionally, the result forced Belgium to qualify through the semi-final at their next Contest.
It was succeeded as Belgian representative at the 2006 Contest by Kate Ryan with "Je t'adore".
