Lavasanat District (Persian: بخش لواسانات) is a district (bakhsh) in Shemiranat County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 22,289, in 6,615 families. The District has one city: Lavasan. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Lavasan-e Bozorg Rural District and Lavasan-e Kuchak Rural District. During the Qajar era and early 20th century Lavasanat was the transit way between northern slopes of Elburz and Tehran with Afjeh and Najarkala known as the most famous towns of Lavasanat.
