La Sagne is a municipality in the district of La Chaux-de-Fonds in the canton of Neuchâtel in Switzerland.

La Sagne is first mentioned in 1332 as la Sagne.

La Sagne has an area, as of 2009, of 25.6 square kilometers (9.9 sq mi). Of this area, 15.29 km2 (5.90 sq mi) or 59.8% is used for agricultural purposes, while 9.45 km2 (3.65 sq mi) or 37.0% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.8 km2 (0.31 sq mi) or 3.1% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.04 km2 (9.9 acres) or 0.2% is either rivers or lakes and 0.02 km2 (4.9 acres) or 0.1% is unproductive land.

Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 1.5% and transportation infrastructure made up 1.3%. Out of the forested land, 33.7% of the total land area is heavily forested and 3.3% is covered with orchards or small clusters of trees. Of the agricultural land, 0.5% is used for growing crops and 45.8% is pastures and 13.5% is used for alpine pastures. All the water in the municipality is flowing water.

The municipality is located in the La Chaux-de-Fonds district, in the eastern part of the Vallée de La Sagne et des Ponts-de-Martel. It consists of the linear village of La Sagne and the hamlets of Les Cœudres, Le Crêt, Miéville, La Sagne-Eglise and La Corbatière.

The blazon of the municipal coat of arms is Argent, issuant from three Mounts Vert as many Pine trees of the same.

La Sagne has a population (as of December 2015) of 963. As of 2008, 6.0% of the population are resident foreign nationals. Over the last 10 years (2000–2010) the population has changed at a rate of 5.1%. It has changed at a rate of 7.6% due to migration and at a rate of 3.7% due to births and deaths.
