Kukmorsky District (Russian: Кукморский райо́н; Tatar: Кукмара районы) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-three in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is located in the north of the republic. The area of the district is 1,493 square kilometers (576 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Kukmor. Population: 52,021 (2010 Census); 53,691 (2002 Census);49,558 (1989 Census). The population of Kukmor accounts for 32.5% of the district's total population.
