Krasnogvardeysky District (Russian: Красногварде́йский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Belgorod Oblast, Russia.Municipally, it is incorporated as Krasnogvardeysky Municipal District. It is located in the eastern central part of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,762.6 square kilometers (680.5 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Biryuch. Population: 40,636 (2010 Census); 44,156 (2002 Census);47,916 (1989 Census). The population of Biryuch accounts for 19.3% of the district's total population.
The district was established in July 1928.
