Kjerringøy is a village and former municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The administrative centre was the village Kjerringøy. The municipality encompassed the area north of the Mistfjorden mostly in the present-day municipality of Bodø.

The village of Kjerringøy is located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) north of the town of Bodø, along the Karlsøyfjorden. The Kjerringøy Church is located in the village. The Kjerringøy trading post is today a part of the Nordlands Museum .

The municipality of Kjerringøy was established on 1 January 1906 when the old municipality of Nordfold-Kjerringøy was split into Kjerringøy (population: 857) and Nordfold (population: 1,485).

On 1 January 1964, Kjerringøy ceased to exist. Most of Kjerringøy (population: 524) was incorporated into Bodin, its neighboring municipality to the south. The Brennsund district north of the Nordfolda fjord (population: 30), was incorporated into Steigen. Prior to the merger Kjerringøy had a population of 574.

On 1 January 1968, Bodin (including Kjerringøy) was incorporated into the town of Bodø.
