Kivijärvi is a municipality of Finland.
It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Central Finland region. The municipality has a population of 1,187 (31 March 2016) and covers an area of 483.94 square kilometres (186.85 sq mi) of which 115.81 km2 (44.71 sq mi) is water. There are all together 89 lakes in Kivijärvi. Biggest lakes are Kivijärvi, Heitjärvi and Heikinjärvi. The population density is 2.45 inhabitants per square kilometre (6.3/sq mi). Salamajärvi National Park is partly located in Kivijärvi.
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
