Kinnula is a municipality of Finland.
It is located in the Central Finland region. The municipality has a population of 1,740 (31 March 2016) and covers an area of 460.19 square kilometres (177.68 sq mi) of which 35.48 km2 (13.70 sq mi) is water. There are all together 66 lakes in Kinnula. Biggest lakes are Kivijärvi, Yläjäppä Alajäppä and Iso-Koirajärvi. The population density is 3.78 inhabitants per square kilometre (9.8/sq mi). Salamajärvi National Park is partly located in Kinnula.
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
