Kingman is a town in Millcreek Township, Fountain County, Indiana, United States. The population was 511 at the 2010 census.
The Kingman post office was established in 1886. Kingman was incorporated as a town in 1900 at which time it was merged with the nearby rival village of Fountainville.
Kingman is located at 39°58′2″N 87°16′43″W / 39.96722°N 87.27861°W (39.967143, -87.278601), on State Road 234, about two miles west of U.S. Route 41.
According to the 2010 census, Kingman has a total area of 0.82 square miles (2.12 km2), all land.
As of the census of 2010, there were 511 people, 209 households, and 134 families residing in the town. The population density was 623.2 inhabitants per square mile (240.6/km2). There were 245 housing units at an average density of 298.8 per square mile (115.4/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 97.7% White, 0.4% from other races, and 2.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.4% of the population.
There were 209 households of which 30.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.5% were married couples living together, 13.4% had a female householder with no husband present, 5.3% had a male householder with no wife present, and 35.9% were non-families. 32.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.41 and the average family size was 2.98.
