Kindred is a city in Cass County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 692 at the 2010 census. Kindred primarily serves as a bedroom community for Fargo, located about 30 miles to the northeast.
Kindred was platted in 1880 when the railroad was extended to that point. The city was named for William S. Kindred, a local businessman and afterward mayor of Fargo, North Dakota. A post office has been in operation at Kindred since 1881. Kindred was incorporated as a city in 1949.

As of the census of 2010, there were 692 people, 267 households, and 185 families residing in the city. The population density was 477.2 inhabitants per square mile (184.2/km2). There were 289 housing units at an average density of 199.3 per square mile (77.0/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 96.0% White, 0.1% African American, 0.7% Native American, 1.2% from other races, and 2.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.4% of the population.
