Kim Chung-ha (born Kim Chan-mi on February 9, 1996), better known by the mononym Chungha, is a South Korean singer. She is best known for finishing fourth in Mnet's girl group survival show Produce 101 and as a member of I.O.I.

Kim Chung-ha was born Kim Chan-mi on February 9, 1996 in South Korea. She lived in Dallas, Texas, for eight years before returning to South Korea to become a singer. As a result, she is able to speak both English and Korean due to her upbringing. She auditioned for YG Entertainment and was a former JYP Entertainment trainee. She had trained for three years before debuting, and had been dancing for 6–7 years. She revealed on Hit The Stage that she almost quit dancing due to financial issues but she asked her family to allow her to continue as she was confident in it.

In January, Kim Chung-ha represented M&H Entertainment on reality girl group survival show Produce 101. She finished in fourth place with 403,633 votes and debuted on May 4, with the project girl group I.O.I with the mini-album Chrysalis.

On June 10, YMC Entertainment revealed Kim Chung-ha as one of the seven members of I.O.I's unit group, slated to promote the group's second single, Whatta Man during the summer of 2016. It was revealed that three teams were contacted to make the choreography for Whatta Man, but Chung-ha's was chosen because it was deemed to be the highest quality. The single album was a commercial success peaking at number 2 on the Gaon Digital Chart and on the Gaon Album Chart, for its digital (downloads and streaming) and physical sales respectively.

On June 30, it was revealed that Kim Chung-ha would be having a cameo appearance on Korean drama, Entourage along with fellow I.O.I member Lim Na-young.
