Gaon Digital Chart


Gaon Digital Chart, part of Gaon Music Chart, is a national chart that ranks the best-selling songs in South Korea, provided by the Korea Music Content Industry Association. The chart is an aggregate of digital downloads, streaming and background music. It ranks all songs, as well as separate rankings for domestic and international, in weekly, monthly and year-end charts. It started tracking sales on 11 April 2010. It is compiled from online data provided by web-based music providers Olleh Music, genie, Melon, Mnet, Soribada, Naver Music, KakaoMusic and Bugs.

The Gaon Music Chart was launched in February 2010. It was originally planned to be a bi-annual chart when the Gaon Charts launched in early 2010. Eventually, the chart covered this and was released weekly and monthly like all the other charts.

The current holder who has the most number one songs since 2010 is IU with 14. She is followed by 2NE1, Girls' Generation and Big Bang (9 songs), Huh Gak and Sistar (8 songs), and Davichi (5 songs).

The current holder who has won the most weeks at number one is IU with 26 weeks. She's followed by, Big Bang (16 weeks), 2NE1 & Sistar (11 weeks), and Girls' Generation (10 weeks).

The current top 5 holder who has won the most months at number one are Big Bang with 8 months, IU (6 months), Davichi and 2NE1 (4 months) and Girls' Generation, PSY and the Wonder Girls (3 months).
