Khotynetsky District (Russian: Хотыне́цкий райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Oryol Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 791.3 square kilometers (305.5 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Khotynets. Population: 10,183 (2010 Census);12,098 (2002 Census);13,032 (1989 Census). The population of the administrative center accounts for 38.0% of the district's total population.
