Khairpur District is a district in the Sindh province of Pakistan. The district has an area of 15,910 km2 and is headquartered at the city of Khairpur. It has 8 talukas, 76 Union councils and 11 towns, with a total population of 1,547,000 as of 1998.
According to the 1998 census of Pakistan, the district had a population of 1.5 million, of which 24% was urban. A 2011 estimate placed the population at 2.2 million.
