Kamenice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈkamɛɲɪtsɛ]) is a small town (městys) in Jihlava District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic.
The town covers an area of 34.03 square kilometres (13.14 sq mi), and has a population of 1,794 (as at 1 January 2009).
Kamenice was the birthplace of composer Franz Krommer, on November 27, 1759.
Kamenice lies approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) east of Jihlava and 127 km (79 mi) south-east of Prague.
