Kabir Bakul is a Bangladeshi lyricist. Besides that, he has worked as a journalist also. He earned the National Film Award as the Best Lyricist in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2013.
Bakul was born in Chandpur District.
Kabir Bakul joined The Daily Vorer Kagoj at 1993. Later on from the commencement of The Daily Prothom Alo (1998) he worked there.He worked in Maasranga Television as Head of Event and Planning (2011-2015). At present, He is working in The Daily Prothom Alo as Manager, Events & Activation. He first wrote his song at 1994 in the film "Ogni Sontan". For this song he was nominated for the Best Lyricist at the Bangladesh Film Director Samity Award.
Kabir Bakul is writing songs, poems from 1986–1987. In 1988 he first wrote 13 songs and provided to Singer Tapan Chowdhury. From those songs 2 of them were released in 2 albums. The first song was 'Kal sara raat tomari kakon jeno kane kane rinijhini bejeche' in which the singer was Ayub Bacchu. The second song was 'Pothe jete jete khujechi tomay ami' in which the singer was Nasim Ali Khan. Till now he wrote 800 films song. His writing total song now 5000.
