Its studios are located near the Albuquerque International Airport and the transmitter tower is located a mile from the studios.
KIVA was originally on 1580 kHz. It moved to 1600 kHz in 2000.
KIVA broadcasts a talk radio and news radio format, featuring national talk shows Bloomberg, Laura Ingraham, Dana Loesch, Dave Ramsey, Sean Hannity, Alex Jones and Coast to Coast AM with George Noory.
