KHTY (970 AM "Fox Sports 970") is a sports radio station broadcasting from Bakersfield, California, and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc.. It serves inland central California. Fox Sports 970 is Bakersfield's new NASCAR radio affiliate.

970 AM went on the air in 1958 as KUZZ. In 1986, Buck Owens (the owner of KUZZ) made a deal to have KAFY moved from 550AM to 970AM. In November 2000, the call letters were changed to KZPM. KZPM lasted until May 2001, when 970AM was sold to Clear Channel Communications and the call letters changed to KZTK. KZTK at the time was a news/talk radio station. In September 2002, KZTK changed the call letters to KGET, (which was also the call letters to a local TV Station owned by Clear Channel Communications at that time). The branding for KGET was News Talk 970 KGET. In January 2006, the KGET call letters were changed to KHTY. The station at the time was an oldies radio station branded as Mighty 970. Sometime in 2008, KHTY changed formats from oldies back to news/talk and was branded as Business 970 KHTY. Later in 2008, KHTY changed formats once again from news/talk to a Spanish language news/talk radio station. On March 2, 2009, KHTY changed formats from a Spanish language news/talk radio station to a sports radio station branded as Fox Sports 970.
