Juan Carlos Salgado (born December 20, 1984 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico) is a Mexican professional boxer in the Super Featherweight division. He is the former WBC FECARBOX, WBC Continental Americas Featherweight, and WBA Super Featherweight Champion. He won the vacant IBF Super Featherweight title on September 10, 2011 against Argenis Mendez.
Juan Carlos won the WBA Super Featherweight title by sensational fashion, knocking out the undefeated Venezuelan Jorge Linares in the first round. On October 10, 2009 in Tokyo, Japan Salgado would lose the title in his first defense to the undefeated Takashi Uchiyama.
