Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI) is the largest independent provider of Power by the Hour. Jet Support Services Inc. opened in 1989 managing a handful of engines and covering zero aircraft. From an office of one – Ronald Zilberbrand. Years later he was joined by founding partners John F. Haskins (deceased) and Marla Rabin. Ronald Zilberbrand and his partners launched JSSI into existence in 1989 after hearing the idea pitched to them as a business opportunity.
Ron a serial entrepreneur had been in the parking business, the salad dressing business and was an investment banker at the time he was approached with the business plan that became JSSI. Ron brought his son Jason Zilberbrand in to the company in 1994 and they built it into the largest independent provider of Power by the Hour. The company offers hourly cost maintenance, or Power by the Hour, programs for corporate and private aircraft engines, APUs and airframes. The company was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois and Farnborough, UK In 2008 the company was acquired by RH Book Enterprises and 1848 Capital Partners, LLC.
