Inistioge (/ɪnɪʃˈtiːɡ/; Irish: Inis Tíog) is a small scenic village in County Kilkenny, Ireland. It is situated on the River Nore, 25 kilometres (16 mi) southeast of Kilkenny. Historically, the name has been spelt as Ennistioge, Ennisteage, and in other ways.
Inistioge has been the scene for a number of films, most notably Circle of Friends and Widows' Peak. The picturesque is located one mile (1.6 km) outside the village. Inistioge is one of several villages that are situated along the River Nore not far from the Town of Kilkenny, Ireland. The Town is entered by crossing a beautiful 10 arch stone bridge, includes a tree-lined square and rows of 18th and 19th century homes along the river.
The main bus route serving the village is Kilbride Coaches' New Ross - Thomastown - Kilkenny route. There are two journeys each way daily but none on Sundays.
