Created from Støren in 1841
Merged into Melhus in 1964

Horg is a former municipality in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The administrative centre was the village of Lundamo. Horg encompasses the southern part of the present-day municipality of Melhus on both sides of the Gaula River. The main church for the area was Horg Church.

The municipality of Horg was established as a municipality in 1841 when the municipality of Støren was divided into Horg, Støren, and Soknedal. The initial population of the new municipality of Horg was 2,374. On 1 January 1964, Horg was merged with Flå, Hølonda, Melhus, and part of Buvik to form a new, larger municipality of Melhus. Prior to the merger, Horg had a population of 2,560.

The municipality was named after the old Horg farm (Old Norse: hǫrgr), since the first church was built there. The name comes from the word meaning "steep rock", since there is a steep cliff just east of the farm.
