Heartwell is a village in Kearney County, Nebraska, United States. It is part of the Kearney, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 71 at the 2010 census.
Heartwell was established in about 1883 when the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad was extended to that point. It was named for James B. Heartwell, a politician and bank official.
