Grimes is a town in Dale County, Alabama, United States. At the 2010 census the population was 558, up from 459 in 2000. It is part of the Enterprise–Ozark Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Grimes is located in southeastern Dale County at 31°18′8″N 85°27′4″W / 31.30222°N 85.45111°W (31.302270, -85.451042). It is partially bordered to the north, south, east, and west by the city of Dothan, and also to the north by the town of Napier Field. Grimes is 7.5 miles (12.1 km) northwest of the center of Dothan.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.25 square miles (3.24 km2), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 459 people, 180 households, and 124 families residing in the town. The population density was 361.9 people per square mile (139.5/km²).
