Franklin Township is a township in Snyder County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,094 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 28.5 square miles (74 km2), of which, 28.5 square miles (74 km2) of it is land and 0.04% is water.
Franklin Township is bordered by Center Township to the north, Middlecreek and Washington Townships to the east, Perry and West Perry Townships to the south and Beaver Township to the west.
Franklin Township surrounds the borough of Middleburg and the census-designated place of Paxtonville.
As of the census of 2000, there are 2,094 people, 835 households, and 632 families residing in the township. The population density is 73.6 people per square mile (28.4/km²). There are 904 housing units at an average density of 31.8/sq mi (12.3/km²).
