Félix Ruiz Hernández (born 7 January 1982, in Málaga) is a Spanish entrepreneur who founded Spanish social network, Tuenti, in 2006. Currently, Ruiz is the Executive Chairman of the job matching platform, jobandtalent.
Felix Ruiz graduated with a Business Administration undergraduate degree from the Universidad Francisco Vitoria in Madrid. During his final year, Ruiz started to develop Tuenti, along with his partners Zaryn Dentzel, Joaquin Ayuso and Kenny Bently. Between 2009 and 2012, the team worked together to establish Tuenti as one of the most popular social networking sites in Spain. From 2007 to 2008, Ruiz held his role as Tuenti’s Chief Revenue Officer. Furthermore, Ruiz was also in charge of Tuenti’s product marketing activities. In 2010, Tuenti was bought by Spanish telecommunications giant, Telefonica, for 70 Million Euros. Ruiz continued to work for Tuenti until 2013.
In 2012, Ruiz started to invest in the Spanish startup company, jobandtalent, and two years later, he played a key role in securing jobandtalent’s Series A funding round, closed during the summer of 2014. In July 2014, he was subsequently appointed as the company’s Executive Chairman. Today, Ruiz is responsible for overseeing jobandtalent’s international expansion in Europe and Latin America. He also manages the development of jobandtalent’s new services and products.
In addition, Ruiz is a partner at Cube, Cyclon Media and co-founder of Ruizzuluetacollection.
