Fairview is a town in Richland County, Montana, United States. The population was 840 at the 2010 census. The town is directly on the North Dakota border.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.97 square miles (2.51 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2010, there were 840 people, 354 households, and 217 families residing in the town. The population density was 866.0 inhabitants per square mile (334.4/km2). There were 383 housing units at an average density of 394.8 per square mile (152.4/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 95.5% White, 0.2% African American, 1.7% Native American, 1.4% from other races, and 1.2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.3% of the population.
There were 354 households of which 32.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.9% were married couples living together, 11.3% had a female householder with no husband present, 7.1% had a male householder with no wife present, and 38.7% were non-families. 33.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 3.02.
